Multiple Teams · Middle School Cheer Team Places First at Ashland

Here’s a big SHOUT OUT to the middle school cheer squads, who combined to perform as one team yesterday at the annual Big Bows & Arrows Cheer and Dance Competition held at Ashland High School.

The girls were absolutely amazing, as they wowed not only the crowd, but the judges too.  The squad brought home a first place trophy in their division and the overall GRAND CHAMPION prize for the morning session to cap off an exciting day for all.  The Grand Champion award was a huge surprise to not only the girls, but the coaches, who said that they “never dreamed of being named for the top prize of the day”.

The competition team is comprised of all of the middle school girls who participated in the cheer program during both the fall and winter seasons, and totaled 17 girls all together.  The teams are coached by Melissa Rennecker and Brittany Rodriguez, who have spent an overwhelming amount of time preparing them for not only their sideline cheer seasons, but also for this competition.

Congrats girls, your hard work paid off!
