West Holmes will be sending 4 athletes to Columbus this weekend to compete in the 2017 Ohio State Track and Field Championships, held at Jessie Owens Stadium on the Campus of the Ohio State University.
Brayden Chaney emerged this past weekend as the regional champion in the 400 meter run, setting a new school record and punching his ticket to the state meet. Josh Goudy will also be making a repeat trip to Columbus this year in his premier event, the discus.
On the girls side of things, Michelle Hostettler will be making her 4th appearance at the State Meet and will be competing in the 3200 meter run, which has seen her place 6th in both her sophomore and junior seasons. Taylor Yerian is also no stranger to the state meet, as she too is a repeat competitor and will be hitting the track in the 300 meter hurdles this year.
Good luck to our kids as they all try to earn their place on the podium this weekend!
