“It came down to the last race of the day and the last runner of that race”. The Boys team victory came down to the 4 x 400 meter relay. West Holmes needed to win that to win the team victory. Lexington had more than a 15 meter head start when Brady Taylor received the baton and 400 meters to run. A short 50.05 seconds later West Holmes won both the 4 x 400 and the team victory. This opportunity would not have been possible if not for the following athletic success. It starts off with Lane Graham and Grant Miller winning the Shot Put and Discus. Lane’s shot distance was 53′ 6 1/2 “, while his discus went 140′ 4”. Grant was second in the shot with 36′ 3 1/2 and his discus throw was 114′ 2″ also for second place. Lane finished second in the 100 meters. Cade Waders place 2nd in the 1600 meters with a time of 4:45.7. Cade also placed 2nd in the 400 meters (56.16). Austin Myers took home gold in the 300 Hd (46.09). In the 200 meter run Taylor 1st (23.40), Gavin Freeman 2nd (25.3), and Zach Snow 3rd (26.9). Sawyer Pritt finished 2nd in the Long Jump (19′ 2″) while Gavin Freeman was 3rd with (19′ 1″). Zander Shultz finished in 1st place in the High Jump (5′ 10″) and Quin Cornwell took 2nd place (5′ 2″). Kalan Bowling brought home 3rd place in the 110 Hd (22.13) Emmett Myers set a PR in the Pole Vault (13′ 06″) for a first place finish and Zach Snow took 2nd place (11′ 06″)
